Please Pray

I just became aware, through a link from my friend Alan Yoshioka's FB page, of the terrible persecution of Christians in the Indian state of Orissa.

Please pray with me for our brothers and sisters in India who are in a maelstrom. They need our support in prayer. Please let's think of them whenever we can and lift them up, praying for courage, grace, and the ability to witness faithfully to those who are their persecuters.

How tragic!

This is interesting as our pastor was in Channai (province of Tamil Nadu, separated from Orissa by one other province) this summer. He was scheduled to speak at tent meetings. The police all but shut the meetings down; they certainly didn't allow him to preach and threatened deportation.

Speak of human rights abuses, national trading relationships and such - there are a lot of countries besides China we could make a fuss over supporting on humanitarian/human rights grounds.

Dear Violet,
Yes, the media picks the news. It was so incongruous to find out about this on FaceBook, but then I just had to do something, even if it was just making the readers of Whatever He Says aware of the need to pray and let others know.

Thank you for visiting. It's always wonderful to find your footprints!
