Philip Yancey Coming to Toronto

Note: The writing of Philip Yancey has been such a blessing in my life and he is coming to Toronto!

Here is the information on when and where:

Philip Yancey, the multiple Gold Medallion winning author and editor-at-large of Christianity Today, is presenting two seminars in Toronto on July 01, 2011.

The Bayview Glen Church (300 Steeles Ave East) will host the lecture "Communicating Faith to a Skeptical Society" from 8:30 am to 12:00 Noon.

Queensway Cathedral (1536 The Queensway) will host the talk "What Good is God? In search of Faith that matters" from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be opportunities for Q&A and Book signing at both these events. The events are free, but RSVP may be required. Please visit the site: www.focusinfinity.org for more information.

It's a shame he's coming on a National holiday. I will be busy with Canada Day celebrations this year. Hopefully, he'll come back again.

That book has changed my whole worldview. I have read it a few times now. I would love to hear him speak.

It sounds like an amazing experience and a rare opportunity to hear Philip Yancey speak.

By the way, he's also going to be at The Meeting House tomorrow (Sunday) morning at 8 a.m. I'm NOT 100 per cent sure about the location, but I'm guessing Oakville, at the headquarters of The Meeting House (also the only meeting house that has 8 a.m. services).

I'm not sure if I can make tomorrow's event, but I'd sure like to. He's an author who has taken a lot of hits b/c of his stand on tough issues but he's also proven himself as a man of principle through it. I highly respect him.
