With Gratitude!

Thank you to everyone who voted in the Canadian Blog awards. Whatever He Says won Best Religion and Philosophy Blog! Congratulations too, to two other members of our writer's group--Julie Bowles, who won 2nd place with her blog, Devoted to the Lamb , and Susan Starrett, who tied for 3rd place with her blog  God and the Black River --what a celebration for Writers Nest! Congratulations Dave, and thank you for your continual encouragement and mentorship in writing.

The Canadian Blog Awards

Hello Friends, The  Canadian Blog Awards  are in full swing again. Whatever He Says has been nominated for Best Religion and Philosophy blog. Also nominated in that category is the blog of my friend Susan Starret who writes at  God and the Black River . The blog of another dear friend;  Rolling Around in My Head , by Dave Hingsburger; is nominated in the categories of Best Personal Blog and Best Health Blog. I never miss reading Rolling Around in My Head. Dave writes daily and generously, sharing ideas, his journey of disability and perspectives that provoke and challenge. I hope that you will consider voting. It only takes seconds; you don't have to be Canadian to vote, and voting in this round ends on February 22nd.

THANK YOU!!!

By Belinda I arrived home late tonight after a long but awesome day, and collapsed in a happy heap, promptly dozing off in front of the television. It had been our wonderful Christmas party--the one I love so much each year, at which 80 or so people supported by our agency gather to celebrate. There is so much intense, unbridled JOY at this event; enough pairs of shining eyes to light up the night sky and smiles that would warm the world. When I woke up from my doze, I checked email and found an excited email from my friend  Dave , congratulating me on Whatever He Says winning first place in the  Canadian Blog Awards  in the Best Religion Philosophy Blog category. Dave's blog  Rolling Around in My Head  won first place in the Best Personal Blog category and tied for third place in the Best Health Blog category. I also congratulate Lynn Dove of  Lynne Dove's Journey Thoughts  who came in second in the Best Religion and Philosophy category. It was ...

The Canadian Blog Awards

By Belinda Whatever He Says has been nominated in the  Canadian Blog Awards  in the Best Religious Philosophy Blog category. I am honoured--and would greatly appreciate your vote--you can vote even if you are not Canadian!  My friend Dave, whose blog  Rolling Around in My Head  is on my daily "must read" list, is also nominated. If you would like to vote for him, he is nominated in the category of Best Personal Blog  (where you would vote for Dave Hingsburger) and for Best Health Blog, where you would vote for Rolling Around in my Head. Let the fun--and voting, begin! :)
A great thank you to all who took the time to vote for Whatever He Says in round 1 of the The Canadian Blog Awards . My friend Dave called me today to tell me that we made it into round 2! Yay! On the CBA website, it was noted: We are using Round 1 to identify the nominated blogs that can gather a reasonable amount of support from their readers. Round 2 is where the winners are found. We also let a few in from the last-chance-to-nominate post. I will be sure to let you know when the voting commences for Round 2. There are some excellent blogs in the running and as well as the fun and thrill of the whole thing, what an amazing way to shine a light of some blogs that will bless readers, such as Holy Experience  , which I nominated in the Religion Philosophy category.

The Canadian Blog Awards

Excitement is in the air--it is time for The Canadian Blog Awards 2010 Whatever He Says is nominated in the Religion Philosphy Category, and Dave Hingsburger  a reader and frequent commenter here, as well as a dear friend, is nominated in 3 categories with Rolling Around in My Head his blog on disability issues: Best Blog; Health and Personal. Since I read Dave daily, I recommend his blog for a vote in any or all of the categories listed. If you would like to vote in round one, please check out the other great blogs, and vote before October 17th at noon. It would be wonderful to make it to round two.
