You are right that you, a ray of ...Dearest Marilyn,
You are right that you, a ray of such sunshiny disposition, are so hard to imagine as an invisible "shadow child," but we are so much more than our surfaces.

Yes, I was thinking about other girls I remember from school, later on as I grew older. I always "saw" those who were rejected, even if I never got to know them. I befriended one girl whose hair crawled with lice and who was far from attractive or bright. Her name was Marilyn. And you are right, it was a bit of God's heart that he put in me--his love for the outcast.Belindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09251920708783268740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30458926.post-2289639486265084592009-09-09T08:41:39.835-04:002009-09-09T08:41:39.835-04:00In my prayer this morning, I was reminded of peopl...In my prayer this morning, I was reminded of people I know who appear to live in light, but actually hover in the shadows...putting up a good front, a happy mask. I pray they'll let me in...

Your post today is beautiful and moving because of its honesty. Thank you for sharing this.Deidrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09145504027833176749noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30458926.post-41990827724928152902009-09-09T07:39:50.899-04:002009-09-09T07:39:50.899-04:00Just yesterday, in my ongoing study of Spanish, I ...Just yesterday, in my ongoing study of Spanish, I came to the word "sombra," meaning shadow. And now the word comes to my attention again. Hmmmm.

You have included a section of scripture that has been especially close to my heart this past year and connected it to the 'shadow' thoughts. Thank you for that.

I was, in many ways, a shadow child in a home of chaos, hiding out - very unlike my siblings in many ways - unseen, invisible.....and wanting to stay that way. It was safe. (Many people find this hard to believe now.)

I was moved at the very beginning of your post that you SAW the shadow child. That, too, shows, even at an early age, your gifting.

Now you have me wondering about Ingrid.Marilynhttp://www.asgoodadayasany.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
