So few people understand that. It's a constant struggle to NOT struggle. We always want to do something, make amends, feel guilty and take action to solve problems.

3-My brother wrote not long ago "We can't manipulate God. I'm not saying that God's sovereignty infers our actions don't matter: I'm saying that we can't bribe God with our good behaviour. God blesses those He loves, regardless of their deserving to be blessed. God blesses out of grace, not obligation.

My dad used to always tell me, "Clumsy, don't forget that Moses was wrong to strike the rock, but water still came out." There is nothing more common in Scripture than God blessing people who don't deserve it. There's nothing more common than God blessing in spite of the ones receiving the blessing. Ecclesiastes says the race is not to the swift, the battle is not to the strong (Ecclesiastes 10:11). Blessing doesn't come to those who deserve it any more than brimstone rains down on sinners. God blesses out of His overflowing heart."Shanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10704810407872873565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30458926.post-39327474300522964202008-02-03T09:27:00.000-05:002008-02-03T09:27:00.000-05:00Wow Belinda! I love how God teaches. Your story ...Wow Belinda! I love how God teaches. Your story takes a slightly different twist for me. I've been a little battered down by busyness and feeling that the enemy is using this and sometimes cantankerous kids to wear me out. Through the loving counsel of friends I've realized that I need to STAND and use my heavenly weapons and armor as sure as I'd use them against a physical enemy.
"My fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers..." Ephesians 6:
Then when I state His Word and stand and as you said, rest in Him, for the work is already done, peace comes in. I am learning to be so grateful.
Thank you for your post!
AngcatAngcathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16043637983576750246noreply@blogger.com
